I just realized that yesterday was the first and only time I’ve ever publicly answered a question on here.
Sort of. Hot Butter recorded the version that everybody knows in 1972. However, Gershon Kingsley (who put out a lot of Moog based albums, only about 70% of which have aged well) originally composed it back in 1969; it’s on his album “Music to Moog By”.
